The Science, Technology and Innovation Office (OCTI, in Spanish) is the administrative agency that supports the Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation Coordination of the Canary Islands Government for the planning, coordination, evaluation and follow-up of scientific research, technological development and innovation activities in this autonomous region. One of its objectives is the coordination with the different bodies and organizations which do research in this region, with those of the central administration and other Spanish regions and the European Union. OCTI has also the objective to inform and advise the investigators, centres, organizations and companies that do investigation activities, as well as to favour the mobility of the researchers between public and private centres at regional, national or international level.
